I didn’t expect anywhere near the amount of feedback I received in response to yesterday’s blog. Posts to the blog, on Facebook, the forums and in my email box all boiled down to one overriding directive: DO IT.

You guys sure got me fired up! Okay–I’ll do it! :)

It’s going to be a few months down the road, though. Once I finish this cut up I want to give myself some time to transition to the vegetarian diet while slowly ramping my calories back up to maintenance level. Over the next couple months I’m going to do a lot of reading and research, as I’ve never bulked on a plant-based diet before.

There’s an added wrinkle that I’ve not discussed yet, and it will make the bulk even more interesting. More on that to come.

Fajitas!

Yesterday we had some family in town, and we all went out to eat. I had my first splurge meal of this cut (Mexican food), and I also had a margarita. The last time I cut I only had one splurge meal, and it was 100% identical to what I ate yesterday. I really enjoyed the meal, but I need to get a hard, sweaty ride in this morning. I feel like a water balloon.

I’m running late, so I need to wrap this one up. That margarita knocked me on my ass, and I slept until 6:30. I can’t believe the dogs let me do that…
